Anticipated opening for Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development

Montgomery County Regional Educational Service Agency seeking experienced individual with strong leadership skills to provide services to Montgomery County schools in curriculum, instruction, and professional development. Anticipated start date March 1, 2012. Responsibilities include advisory-liaison services to curriculum related groups, coordination of instructional programs such as the Mathematically Precocious Youth Program and the ABE/GED Program and serving as contact person for state initiated programs.

Required PDE Certification: either Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, Principal K-12, or Letter of Eligibility. Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience preferred. Salary negotiable.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The South Central Local School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer. Candidates must hold a valid Ohio Treasurer’s license (or be able to obtain one). Experience as a Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer or financial officer for a business/agency is preferred but not required. Candidates should be knowledgeable of fiscal procedures, school finance, financial forecasting, business operations, budgeting, funds management and contract negotiations. In addition, candidates are expected to be involved in community activities, work collegially with district administrators and staff, relate to a variety of audiences and exhibit character and professionalism that reflects positively upon the district.

 Responsible for the overall supervision of program administrators, faculty and staff serving 275 special needs students from 35 school districts. In addition, the Director will work with district Directors of Pupil Services to develop and offer professional development and support services for the region.

The successful candidate will have five (5) or more years of exemplary Special Education administrative experience and must possess a Connecticut (092) Administrator certificate. The new superintendent will assume the position on or about July 1, 2012. The Board of Education expects to offer a three year contract with a competitive salary comparable to similar Fairfield County Connecticut school districts.
