Practical Training for ESA Operations Professionals

The AESA Operations Online Learning Lab is a virtual professional development program designed for operations professionals at Educational Service Agencies (ESAs). Participants develop practical skills, systems, and strategies to strengthen operations, improve team effectiveness, manage projects, and build greater accountability across their organizations.

Through practical, operations-focused learning, participants explore standard operating procedures, time and task management, project planning, operations calendars, vendor management, and team leadership.

Session 1: Creating a Culture of Standard Operating Procedures

Learn how to build a systems-driven culture that gets critical details right every time. Explore approaches for developing, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures that create consistency across your organization.

Session 3: Project Planning & Building an Operations Calendar

Learn how to integrate long-term planning into daily workflows and keep projects on track, even when the unexpected happens. Explore ways to build and use an operations calendar that provides visibility into key projects, deadlines, and organizational priorities.

Session 2: Time and Task Management for Operations Teams

Master essential tools and practices for managing tasks and priorities beyond the urgent. Learn strategies that help operations teams stay focused, organized, and responsive while keeping important work moving forward.

Session 4: Key Tools for Managing Vendors and Teams

Discover practical tools and approaches for strengthening accountability and performance with both vendors and internal teams. Learn strategies for setting expectations, monitoring progress, and building productive working relationships.

Meet the Facilitator:

Anders Lindgren

Anders founded SchoolOps to provide high-quality professional learning for school operations teams. He previously built operations from the ground up as the Director of Operations of a Baltimore school and later led operations at SchoolKit. Recognizing a gap in training for operations professionals inspired him to create SchoolOps. This is his second year bringing this learning lab to the educational service agency community.
