About this Network
Schools are increasingly serving as the primary access point for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health challenges. Educational Service Agencies (ESAs) play a critical role in helping districts build coordinated, sustainable systems that support student well‑being.
The Behavioral Health Network brings together ESA professionals who lead, coordinate, or provide behavioral and mental health services in schools. This national professional learning community is designed to support peer connection, shared problem‑solving, and the advancement of effective, school‑based behavioral health systems.
Who Should Join
This network is designed for ESA professionals who:
- Lead or manage behavioral and mental health services
- Provide training, coaching, or technical assistance related to student supports
- Coordinate regional or statewide behavioral health initiatives
- Work at the intersection of education and community‑based behavioral health services
Members come together with colleagues facing similar challenges and opportunities across diverse regional contexts.
What the Network Focuses On
Participants engage in discussions and learning experiences that center on:
- Building sustainable school‑based behavioral health infrastructure
- Early identification and coordinated, team‑based intervention planning
- Aligning behavioral health frameworks within broader systems of support
- Strengthening partnerships with schools, families, and community providers
- Navigating emerging research, policy, and funding considerations
The network emphasizes practical strategies ESAs can use to support districts and expand access to behavioral health services for students and families.
