Elevate your leadership journey with AESA's Executives in Residence Program, a dynamic year-long professional development experience tailored for aspiring Educational Service Agency (ESA) leaders. This program is meticulously designed to cultivate the next generation of national leaders within ESAs, offering a rich environment for growth and collaboration.

Program Highlights:
  • Mentorship by Seasoned CEOs: Engage in a robust mentorship experience with CEOs from AESA's Executive Council and host organizations, providing personalized guidance and invaluable insights.

  • Diverse Leadership Experiences: Immerse yourself in a variety of leadership opportunities, including participation in AESA's Summer Leadership Conference and Annual Conference, designed to broaden your perspective and enhance your leadership skills.

  • Cohort-Based Networking: Join a cohort of like-minded professionals, fostering a national network that encourages peer communication and support throughout the program and beyond.

Timeline and Requirements:

Beginning and ending in July, the cohort will participate in the following AESA functions:

  • July: Summer Leadership Conference - Program Kickoff
  • September: Advocacy in Action Conference - Policy and Leadership Engagement
  • December: Annual Conference - Networking and Professional Growth
  • July: Summer Leadership Conference - Completion and New Cohort Orientation
Additional Program Components
  • One-Week Residency: Work directly with a host agency CEO, gaining hands-on experience in executive leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • Virtual Learning and Collaboration: Participate in online meetings and discussions throughout the year to stay connected and engaged.
