December 28, 2016: Affinity Groups now forming

AESA members have expressed interest in forming many Affinity Groups. Topics include equality, inclusion and social justice; blended learning; Ed-Fi; nonprofit organization entrepreneurialism; visible leadership; communications/PR; and special education. Join an Affinity Group by contacting AESA Executive Director, Joan Wade, at jwade@aesa.us.

The 2017 Annual Conference will again feature break-out sessions offered by AESA members. The call for proposals (open to AESA members only) will be begin March 1. Please watch for more information.

December 28, 2016:  Federal Advocacy Committee to meet and set 2017 Legislative Agenda

The Federal Advocacy Committee of AESA will meet in early February to set AESA's 2017 legislative agenda. The Federal Advocacy Committee will meet February 8-9, 2017 to consider this important work. Members of this committee are reminded to register.

December 13, 2016: New branding released for AESA

AESA released its new visual branding - including a logo - at the 2016 Conference. The new look continues the shape of the globe that was present in the former logo because ESAs are leading in a globally interconnected world. The new colors lend themselves to diversity. The pathways connecting around the globe symbolize that at AESA, we are ready to answer the call for BOLD leadership. The circular white space along the pathways represents strength in connections.

Member-driven redesign process focuses AESA's next bold steps

AESA engaged in a redesign process during summer and fall, 2016.   Dr. Susan Leddick, PKR, Inc., led involved members through the design process that sought to engage stakeholders in envisioning a bold next generation of the association as we laid plans to enact the first steps toward that next generation in the near term.  Read more about AESA redesign.
